An Integrated Circuit (IC) is an electronic circuit that is used as a processing unit in electronic devices. An IC may also be referred to as a chip or a microchip. China is a manufacturing hub for IC manufacturing. The IC Manufacturing industry develops and markets a set of products and services for the Global Electronics market. The key processes in IC manufacturing include packaging and testing, chip manufacturing, and IC design. The availability of low-cost manufacturing inputs in China for the manufacturing of ICs is a key reason for the thriving industry in the country. A manufacturing execution system (MES) is a manufacturing software program that helps manage manufacturing control operations. A MES helps improve the end-users' operational performance by automating, executing, and managing processes as well as performance across the value chain. In essence, an MES acts as a communication system between the various parts of a plant and also provides an enterprise-wide record system. It provides the right information, at the right time, to the right people to take corrective and preventive actions about all aspects of manufacturing activities such as inventory, work-in-progress, production capacity analysis and standard lead times.The MES market in China is one of the fastest growing markets in the Global MES market. The majority of the growth is derived from the Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Electronics and Semiconductor, and Food and Beverages industries in China. The MES market in China is expected to grow at a CAGR of 20.83 percent during the period 2011–2015.

2012年，纺织业的日子不好过。看规模，2012年我国规模以上纺织企业实现总产值5.78万亿元，同比增长12.3%，与过去20年均超过20%的增速相比，2012年的增速出现很大下滑。利润，2012年，全行业实现利润约2500亿元，增速仅在2%—3%之间。出口则是行业最大的问题，全年纺织服装行业出口额同比增长3.3%，增速是30年来出口增速倒数第二低的一年。
