Channel-in-a-Box (CiaB) is the latest development in the master control automation and playout automation sectors.In February 2016, Amagi, a media technology company, launched its latest cloudbased broadcast platform CUMULUS, which enables content preparation,delivery,and management on a single cloud platform. CUMULUS is based on the Platform as a Service (PaaS) model that allows creation and delivery of both linear and nonlinear streams across the platforms, including satellite TV, cable TV, internet protocol TV (IPTV), and over-the-top (OTT) service. Amagi's Cloudport, which offers multi-channel playout automation for both live and linear feeds, also supports CUMULUS.
