Therefore, an increased level of flexibility will be needed to operate the power system safely while ensuring security of supply and low-carbon emissions of the electricity sector.

3522.光学微环谐振器的化学气相传感

Real-time chemical vapor detection and analysis have broad applications in environmental monitoring, homeland security, military surveillance, and biomedical diagnosis. As an emerging new sensing technology, optical micro-ring resonator has unique advantages in developing low-cost and portable vapor sensors. This chapter introduces ring resonator vapor sensing principles, describes representative micro-ring resonator vapor sensor designs and performances, and then focuses on one special micro-ring resonator design—the optofiuidic ring resonator (OFRR), which inherently integrates the ring resonator vapor sensor and gas fluidics. The OFRR sensor has fast response to a wide spectrum of vapor analytes, with a detection limit of around 100pg. Moreover, the OFRR is a versatile sensing platform that can be integrated with micro-gas chromatography (μGC) for rapid and in situ identification of organic chemical compounds (VOCs) in complex interfering vapor mixtures. Combination with a μGC system greatly enhances the vapor detection specificity, which is one of the major limitations in optical vapor sensors. Applications of the OFRR-μGC in detection of explosives and rapid tandem-column separation of VOCs are also presented. Future research/development directions in the ring resonator vapor sensor are discussed in the end.

The man portable vector (MPV) demonstrations at Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) and former Camp Beale, CA, were entirely funded by the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) Munitions Response (MR) project MR-201005. This second generation MPV is a U.S. government-funded prototype sensor that was initially developed and tested with support by the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) under the 2009 extension of Project MR-1443 with Drs. Kevin O’Neill and Benjamin Barrowes (Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory [CRREL]-Engineering Research and Development Center [ERDC]), David George (G&G Sciences) and Dr. Nicolas Lhomme (Sky Research, Inc. [SKY]). This ESTCP project funded completion of the sensor-head fabrication and purchase of new data acquisition system.

With different element models and parameters in power system,the transient stability analysis results are also different,especially the model of generator and load.Based on the actual parameters of Hunan power grid,this paper builds the synthesis load rnodel of the distribution network with small hydropower considered,and then the Hunan simulation network can also be got.Using PSASP,analyses the transient stability of Hunan power system with distributed small hydropower under different operation modes systematically and comprehensively.Through an overall check of the stability level in each Hunan area,and then compared with the analysis results of Hunan power grid based on the currently used load model,the influences of the distributed small hydropower on the safe and stable operation of the large power network are summarized.

According to the limited accuracy of the current MEMS inertial sensors,the motion displacement method obtained by direct acceleration of the second integration to will bring large errors,this paper presents an motion tracking solution method for tracking three-dimensional arm movement,by changing three-dimensional arm motion into the translational tracking of the plane,complementary filter for multi-sensor data fusion for data integration and correction is designed and the translational tracking method is introduced detailed,The experimental results show that the proposed method can improve tracking accuracy and stability in arm writing motion without noticeable drift.

3526.多传感器卫星图像数据融合技术评价

Satellite image data fusion is a topic of interest in many areas including environmental monitoring, emergency response, and defense. Typically any single satellite sensor cannot provide all of the bene ts o ered by a combination of di erent sensors (e.g., high-spatial but low spectral resolution vs. low-spatial but high spectral,optical vs. SAR). Given the respective strengths and weaknesses of the di erent types of image data, it is bene cial to fuse many types of image data to extract as much information as possible from the data.Our work focuses on the fusion of multi-sensor image data into a uni ed representation that incorporates the potential strengths of a sensor in order to minimize classi cation error. Of particular interest is the fusion of optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images into a single, multispectral image of the best possible spatial resolution. We explore various methods to optimally fuse these images and evaluate the quality of the image fusion by using K-means clustering to categorize regions in the fused images and comparing the accuracies of the resulting categorization maps.

3527.对于SWIFT的风力发电机的持续时间测试报告

This test was conducted as part of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Independent Testing project. The project was established to help reduce the barriers of wind energy expansion by providing independent testing results for small turbines. Several turbines where selected for testing at the National Wind Technology Center (NWTC) as a part of the Small Wind Turbine Independent Testing project. Duration testing was one of up to five tests that could be performed on the turbines. Other tests included power performance, safety and function, noise, and power quality. Cascade Engineering, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, distributor of the Renewable Devices SWIFT turbine in North America, was the recipient of the DOE grant and provided the turbine for testing. The test equipment included a grid-connected SWIFT wind turbine mounted on a 13.7 meter (45-ft) free standing monopole. The system was installed by the NWTC Site Operations group with guidance and assistance from Cascade Engineering.

The Food and Drug Administration and Department of Defense were interested in detecting sub-optimal use of long-acting beta-agonists (LABAs) in asthmatics within the Military Health System (MHS). Visualizing the patterns of asthma medication use surrounding a LABA prescription is a quick way to detect possible sub-optimal use for further evaluation. Analysis of 100 asthma patients was conducted in EventFlow to display and summarize timepoint and interval data. Epidemiologists reported that EventFlow was a powerful tool for rapidly visualizing possible patterns of sub-optimal LABA use that can be targeted for intervention.

Medical researchers seek to identify and predict profit (or effectiveness) potential in a new medicine B against a specified disease by comparing it to an existing medicine A,which has been used to treat the disease for many years,called medicine assessment.Applying traditional data mining techniques to the medicine assessment,one can discover patterns,such as A.X=a → B.Y=b,which are identified at the attribute-value level.These patterns are useful in predicting associated behaviors at the attribute-value level.However,to evaluate B against A,we have to obtain globally useful relations between B and A at an attribute level.Therefore,this paper proposes a group interaction approach for multiple data source discovery.Group interactions include,such as rules,differences,and links between datasets.These group interactions are discovered at the attribute level.For example,R(A.X,B.Y),where R is a relationship,or a predication.Some examples are presented for illustrating the use of the group interaction approach.

Failure and security risks of communication optical cable in electric power system caused by anomalous changing of strain have been investigated,the current situation of the strain monitoring system for optical cable of electric power system has been introduced,and the principle and features of measuring the strain by using fiber grating sensing technology have been presented.The new method that can be used in strain monitoring for communication optical cable of key position in electric power system has been put forward,and fiber grating sensor scheme has been designed.Finally,several key technical problems in its practical application have been analyzed in detail.
