  • 3441.用于植被穿透(FOPEN)应用的射频超颖材料

    Foliage Penetration (FOPEN) radars are critical for detecting and identifying targets concealed by trees and forests. Typically, FOPEN transmits at high powers, making them difficult to design and operate at low frequencies where mismatches are possible. Low operating frequencies also result in large apertures that limit FOPEN systems to large platforms. Novel metamaterials have the potential to reduce the size of FOPEN antennas, but two persistent challenges remain. First, high transmit power requires a low-loss metamaterial solution. Second, the wide bandwidth required by FOPEN systems makes resonant metamaterials solutions unworkable. To shrink the volume of state-of-the-art FOPEN antennas and create a new capability for volume-limited aircraft, Lockheed Martin (LM) Corporation, in conjunction with the Ohio State University (OSU), proposes to develop a novel, metamaterial FOPEN antenna. Shadow Harvest, currently a USAF/ACC JCTD, is a sensor pod and roll-on/roll-off analyst module that adds ISR capability to any C-130 in the USAF fleet within 24 hours.

    Multicast routing technology of wireless sensor network is a method of transferring special data to a group of clients selectively; therefore,quality of the services is the key to evaluate the method.Ant colony algorithm is a bionic optimization algorithm.Improved QoS Multicast Routing Algorithm is proposed based on energy constraint and based on ant colony algorithm,it takes into account the energy cost routing,making the nodes to establish of minimum cost path under the condition of energy constraint.The results show that this algorithm can obtain better energy balance,improve the network services of the time.This algorithm applies to energy-sensitive multicast applications in wireless sensor networks.

  • 3443.基于物联网的数控监控系统的设计与实现

    Aiming at the shortcomings of the traditional CNC sensor network such as the difficult cable laying and long-distance communication signal attenuation,this paper designs the CNC monitoring system based on Internet of Things technology.The design reduces the power consumption of wireless sensor nodes and the packet loss rate of the sink node through hardware-software co-design.The Internet of Things protocol presented in this paper achieves the real-time communication between the CNC operating platform and the wireless sensor nodes.The experiment result shows that the CNC monitoring system based on Internet of Things technology can provide the temperature and vibration information for the CNC operating platform in time with the advantages of simple layout and reliable communication.

  • 3444.新羟基丁酸酯类似物的临床前试验

    One of the hallmarks of Parkinson Disease is a deficit in Complex I of the mitochondrial complex chain in the tyrosine hydroxylase (THf)+ neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta (SNpc) of the brain. This situation allows the dopamine neuron to be put under oxidative stress, thus leaving the DA neuron vulnerable to free radical attack. In attempts to reverse the deficit in Complex I in the cell, in earlier experiments, we used a ketone body, D-beta- hydroxybutyrate (DBHB) in the presence of MPTP to increase oxidative phosphorylation. This change in phosphorylation state afforded protection to the SNpc TH+neurons. One drawback to the use of DBHB is that it is short- acting. In our present experiment, we used a DBHB analogue, glyceryl tris(3- hydroxybutyrate, G3HB) which is the basic DBHB structure that has been altered. Compared to DBHB which increased DBHB levels in plasma by almost 100, G3HB increased plasma DBHB levels by less than 50, Increasing the assay sample volume increases brain tissue DBHB levels . In the in vivo studies, the combination of MPTP and G3HB seemed to cause significant mortality in the two strains of mice that we used. This high mortality rate may be strain or breeding house dependent. More studies need to be done to sort this situation out.

    Epigenetic alterations offer promise as diagnostic or prognostic markers, but it is not known whether these measures associate with, or predict, clinical state. These questions were addressed in a pilot study with combat veterans with PTSD to determine whether cytosine methylation in promoter regions of the glucocorticoid related NR3C1 and FKBP51 genes would predict or associate with treatment outcome. Veterans with PTSD received prolonged exposure (PE) psychotherapy, yielding responders (n D8), defined by no longer meeting diagnostic criteria for PTSD, and non-responders (n D8). Blood samples were obtained at pre-treatment, after 12weeks of psychotherapy (post-treatment), and after a 3-month follow-up. Methylation was examined in DNA extracted from lymphocytes. Measures reflecting glucocorticoid receptor (GR) activity were also obtained (i.e., plasma and 24 h-urinary cortisol, plasma ACTH, lymphocyte lysozyme IC50-DEX and plasma neuropeptide-Y). Methylation of the GR gene (NR3C1) exon 1F promoter assessed at pre-treatment predicted treatment outcome, but was not significantly altered in responders or non-responders at post- treatment or follow-up. In contrast, methylation of the FKBP5 gene (FKBP51) exon 1 promoter region did not predict treatment response, but decreased in association with recovery. In a subset, a corresponding group difference in FKBP5 gene expression was observed, with responders showing higher gene expression at post-treatment than non-responders. Endocrine markers were also associated with the epigenetic markers. These preliminary observations require replication and validation. However, the results support research indicating that some glucocorticoid related genes are subject to environmental regulation throughout life. Moreover, psychotherapy constitutes a form of environmental regulation that may alter epigenetic state. Finally the results further suggest that different genes may be associated with prognosis and symptom state, respectively.

    Energy scarcity is one of the most critical problems that occur in wireless sensor networks compared to traditional networks.However,the problem has been partly solved by building the power consumption model of WSN.This paper is based on a simple wireless sensor network model,it gives the optimal location of the CH nodes in a cluster and the best parameter about how to divided the cluster amongst hierarchy networks.As shown last,the proposed scheme can save up to 95% of power consumption.

    Different EM modeling methodologies employed in the design of plasmonic nanostructures and nano-antennas are described in this chapter. The EM modeling methods discussed in this chapter involves numerical methods (FDTD and RCWA) as well as an analytical method (multipole expansion method). Moreover, we discuss in detail the different techniques that are involved in the development of plasmon-ics-active nanostructures and nano-antennas, comparing the merits and demerits of the different processes. Finally, this chapter describes current research work in several areas such as surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), as well as surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensing and imaging. The applications of these processes for detecting chemical, biological, and biomedical species are discussed.

All the developed material is available publicly and the courses developed are being taught at the two participating universities, Arizona State University and Iowa State University.
