2019年，美国侨情主要有五方面特点。一是华侨华人社会内部极为复杂和多元，老一代移民凋零、多元化的新移民持续增长。二是华人参政有所突破，华人“草根阶层”参与公共事务的意识进一步觉醒。三是不少社团和华侨华人以不同方式从事反分裂活动，成为推动中国和平统一事业的巨大力量。四是美国政府对中美文化和科技交往肆意设限和打压，引起在美华侨华人的强烈不满。五是华侨华人对美国的贡献得到更多的认可和尊重。

2019年移民至加拿大的中国人数量保持稳定。中国赴加游客数量较2018年下降明显。虽然面临着大麻合法化、食品价格上涨、华人聚居区住房负担重、治安不靖等问题，但华社依然保持平稳发展。加拿大华侨华人维护香港繁荣稳定，坚定支持“一国两制”，庆祝中华人民共和国70华诞。华人积极参与第43届加拿大联邦大选，参选与当选人数均创历史新高。华侨华人社团持续推动西方社会关注南京大屠杀、纪念慰安妇等议题。多位华侨华人因贡献突出受到表彰。

从文化层面看，多元共生策略是指各民族文化在交流过程中，努力保持文化认同与文化宽容的动态平衡，力争实现“美美与共”的文化共存格局。长期以来，新马地区华人积极践行这一策略，将“各美其美”作为核心理念和目标，以中华传统文化精髓作为共生载体，通过积极履行社会责任改善共生环境，努力培养传播主体的文化自觉意识，并采取斗争和沟通的方式，为中华文化的本土化传播争取权利，为中华文化的海外传播作出了突出贡献。未来，新马地区华人要善于吸纳和运用新思想、新方法，克服“重传统、轻当代”倾向，并要重视与国内官方和民间团体的合作，挖掘中华文化传播的经济价值，以扩大中华文化与其他民族文化共生载体的影响力，更好地从文化交流角度服务于国家“一带一路”建设大局。

面对全球化意识形态的挑战，为捍卫本民族文化，强化国家认同，东亚三国都进一步加强了对青少年的道德教育，并对中小学道德教育课程、教科书做了一定程度的调整。从调整结果来看，三国道德教育体系建设日益完善，各国着力强化爱国主义教育，道德科教材内容富有时代性。另外，东亚三国在道德教育的目标、爱国教育的展开方式、公共意识的侧重点、教学途径和评价方式等方面也存在不同。日韩道德教育的成功经验，对今后我国道德教育的探索和发展具有一定的启示作用。

文化是民族生存和发展的重要力量。中韩两国文化各具优势。1992年中韩建交之后，中韩两国在各个领域展开文化交流，但并非在交流的所有领域都进行了产业合作。据调查，中韩文化产业的合作主要集中在影视、游戏等方面，呈现合作方式单一、领域较窄、区域差异大等特点。今后，中韩文化产业要在多方面发力，从“文化交流”升级到“文化产业合作”。借助“一带一路”的大趋势，政府和民间组织应共同努力，进行多领域、全方位、深层次的文化产业合作，打造有特色的中韩文化产业项目，从而实现习近平总书记提出的“坚定文化自信，建设文化强国”目标。
