Burning packaging waste generates carbon dioxide, which is one of the most concentrated greenhouse gas. Improper dumping of waste in landfills has also led to the emission of harmful greenhouse gasses such as methane that are more harmful to the environment than carbon dioxide. Adoption of recyclable or eco-friendly packaging is one of the methods to combat greenhouse gas emissions.>
