Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) is a wireless communications technology that aims to enable data exchange between a vehicle and its surroundings. In a V2X ecosystem, vehicles, mobile devices, and roadside equipment, among others, generate and exchange data, allowing them to alert the users about driving and environment conditions on the road. By leveraging V2X communications, the driving experience of drivers, pedestrians, and other vehicles is enhanced by the prevention of crashes, enhancement in traffic flow, reduction in transit trip times, and reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

Automakers worldwide are moving toward electrifying their fleets, but it does not mean that every future car or truck will need to be plugged in. Instead, the first wave of this advancement is 48-volt technology. This new technology includes the benefits such as decreased emissions and improved acceleration. In addition, the new onboard battery systems provide extra power to run infotainment and advanced safety systems in vehicle. Moreover, the 48-volt systems are an easy way for automakers to improve performance, fuel economy, and even durability. Most cars today contain the typical 12-volt electrical system that relies on an alternator to convert the engine’s power into electrical current. That current charges the vehicle’s starter battery and runs all the vehicle’s electrical components, including lighting, infotainment, and safety systems. But 12-volt systems are becoming inadequate for modern vehicles. Further, many parts in the vehicle nowadays require electrical power, advanced safety technology, and convenience features. This is the main reason automakers, including Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen, have started designing vehicles using 48- volt systems.

11 月产销继续同比大幅增长:据中汽协 12 月 11 日发布的数据,2020 年 11 月 全国产销量分别完成 284.7 万辆和 277.0 万辆,环比分别增长 11.5%和 7.6%, 同比分别增长 9.6%和 12.6%,产销量已连续 8 个月呈现增长,其中销量已连续 七个月增速保持在 10%以上。2020 年 1-11 月,汽车产销分别完成 2237.2 万辆 和 2247.0 万辆,产销同比分别下降 3.0%和 2.9%。降幅较 1-10 月分别继续收 窄 1.6 个百分点和 1.8 个百分点。

11 月狭义乘用车批发销量同比增长11.3%,零售销量同比增长8%,乘用车销量连续5 个月保持高增长。行业销量增长主要得益于下游需求的释放,我们认为三四五线城市乘用车消费需求较强,预计2020Q4 销量同比增长10%以上,2021 年销量同比涨幅13%-15%,行业将迎来2 年维度的上行周期,板块维持高景气。
