With Europe last mile delivery market expected to value around USD 720 million in 2019, and Sweden having strong growth in the ecommerce, last mile in Sweden is also expected to grow at a fast pace. The Government has strong focus on the logistics segment in the country leading to many investments (investment in rail freight, budget allotment for increasing capacity of freight corridor, and electric vehicle projects) focused toward infrastructure development. Road freight is the preferred mode of transportation in the country, while rail-road is the most common intermodal choice. The country has large number of logistics hubs with Gothenburg, Östgöta region, being the prominent regions with high demand for logistic properties.
