  • 2891.海军陆战队的空中交通管制员的适宜筛选试验,第2期

    The objective of this research effort is to assist in the selection and screening process of Marines for ATC duty through the development and validation of non-cognitive profiles of successful US Marine Corps Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) in both the Operating Force and the ATC Schoolhouse. A previous technical report detailed the validation process in the Operating Forces; the current phase of the project aims to validate the Marine Air Traffic Controller-Suitability Test (MATC-ST) in predicting success at the ATC Schoolhouse. Hierarchical regression analyses suggests that two variations of the MATC-ST accounts for 29and 24of the variance, respectively, in schoolhouse cumulative GPA and provides incremental validity above and beyond the use of the ASVAB scores in selection for success in the ATC Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) school. A suitability profile which can predict success at the ATC MOS school greatly increase the efficiency of the personnel pipeline and relieves the burden of unproductive training by providing early detection of Marines who are and are not likely to graduate or perform satisfactorily as ATCs. MATC-ST implementation can improve the Marine ATC screening process through better schoolhouse performance, better operating forces performance, and increased diversity through fair, valid screening improvements.

  • 2892.调制波形周期的归一化的单极性SPWM控制器

    The thesis mainly proposed a novel design method for Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) controller based on modulation waveform cycle normalization.T is the period ofsinusoidal modulation waveform,and T/n is the cycle of triangular carrier.Shift registers and adders of SPWM controller were designed to translate the 2n numerical value for SPWM waveform on-off switching points,which were calculated offline,to control the level of the outpout SPWM waveform,which is the key point of modulation waveform cycle normalization.In the thesis RTL function simulation verification by ModelSim and testing for FPGA have been achieved successfully.The results show that the novel SPWM controller is reliable,which has practical significance.

Section 1862(a)(1)(A) of the Act requires that, to be paid by Medicare, a service or an item must be reasonable and necessary for the diagnosis or treatment of illness or injury or improve the functioning of a malformed body member. According to the Act, Medicare Part B provides for the coverage of durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS). A lower limb prosthesis is an artificial replacement for any or all parts of a leg; it provides an individual who has an amputated limb with the ability to perform functional tasks, particularly walking, that may not be possible without the device. A prosthesis joins the beneficiarys residual limb at one of several sites, such as the hip, knee, ankle, or foot. For a lower limb prosthesis to be covered by Medicare, the patient is expected to reach or maintain a defined functional level and be motivated to ambulate. Functional levels range from level 0 to level 4 and are indicated on prosthetic claims by modifiers K0 to K4. A K0 functional level modifier identifies a beneficiary who does not have the ability or potential to ambulate or transfer safely with or without assistance, and a prosthesis does not enhance his or her quality of life or mobility. In contrast, a K4 functional level modifier is for a beneficiary who has the ability or potential for prosthetic ambulation that exceeds basic ambulation skills; this level is typical of the prosthetic demands of the child, active adult, or athlete.

  • 2894.自适应控制器的适应时间和对驾驶的可用控制权影响

    Adaptive control is considered for highly uncertain, and potentially unpredictable, flight dynamics characteristic of adverse conditions. This experiment looked at how adaptive controller adaptation time to recover nominal aircraft dynamics affects pilots and how pilots want information about available control authority transmitted. Results indicate that an adaptive controller that takes three seconds to adapt helped pilots when looking at lateral and longitudinal errors. The controllability ratings improved with the adaptive controller, again the most for the three seconds adaptation time while workload decreased with the adaptive controller. The effects of the displays showing the percentage amount of available safe flight envelope used in the maneuver were dominated by the adaptation time. With the displays, the altitude error increased, controllability slightly decreased, and mental demand increased. Therefore, the displays did require some of the subjects resources but these negatives may be outweighed by pilots having more situation awareness of their aircraft.

    In this report, we report the investigation of energy harvesting with coupled resonators while using magnetostrictive material called Galfenol. Galfenol is an alloy iron with an approximate concentration of iron and gallium as 83 and 17, respectively. Here, we describe a coupled system of mesoscale (1- to 10-cm) cantilever beams. The coupled system can be used for harvesting vibration energy to power and aid the performance of low-power wireless sensor nodes. The report is organized as follows. First we introduce the model of the transducer with Galfenol as the magnetostrictive material. Here, we discuss the model parameters derived from the experiment and show the simulations of a single beam. This is followed by the design of the power converters that are best suited for this device. Next, we analyze an all-to-all coupled system. Finally, we draw conclusions and describe the future course of the research.

    In our preceding works, the stage jerk feedback (SJFB) and base plate jerk feedback (BPJFB) schemes were successfully applied in a pneumatically actuated positioning stage. Where the relative position-based PDD~2 controller was used as the outer loop controller to maintain the positioning stability. However, since two accelerometers are used, each on the stage for SJFB and on the base plate for the BPJFB scheme, there is a possibility of modifying the stiffness and damping loops of PDD~2 controller from relative position-based to the relative acceleration-based inputs. Although there is no any advantage from the industrial application point of view, the bitterness of the modified PDD~2 controller is its simple structure while simple control scheme is desired. Therefore, this paper proposes the modification of stiffness and damping loops of PDD~2 controller such that to be energized by the relative acceleration signal. The objective is to check the feasibility of the proposed PDD~2 controller for the positioning performance without and with both SJFB and BPJFB schemes. It will help us in the future to think about calculating the stage acceleration signal through the relative position and base plate acceleration signals. So that there will be no need to use stage accelerometer, which results in the cost-effectiveness of the control system and safety of the setup. The experimental results show almost the same performances for the proposed PDD~2 controller as achieved through the conventional one.

  • 2897.IDO在MUC1靶向免疫疗法中的作用

    While much advancement has been made in breast cancer treatment, metastatic breast cancer remains an incurable disease. MUC1 is a glycoprotein expressed on normal glandular epithelial but is over-expressed and underglycosylated in over 90of human breast tumors and 100of metastatic lesions, which lead to its ranking by NCI as the second most targetable antigen. Vaccines against tumor antigens have several benefits, including the chance to eliminate metastatic lesions that express the vaccinating tumor antigen. To this end, we have proposed vaccinating with peptides from the MUC1 protein core, which is only visible to the immune system on the tumor- associated form of the protein. Previous work from our lab has demonstrated that this vaccine does elicit a MUC1-specific immune response that can only be functional if the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment is altered to allow efficient killing of tumor cells. Thus, we investigated the effectiveness of MUC1 vaccination in combination with drugs known to inhibit immunosuppression to determine which drug is the most effective. Methods: Mice that are transgenic for human MUC1 (MUC1.Tg) mice were orthotopically injected with a syngenic breast cancer cell line expressing human MUC1 (Mtag.MUC1). Mice were vaccinated after palpable tumor formation with the vaccine cocktail, consisting of two MHC class I-restricted MUC1 tandem repeat peptides and a class II pan helper peptide mixed with GM-CSF and CpG ODN, in incomplete Freund s adjuvant. Previous work in our lab has shown that blocking the cyclooxygenase pathway (COX) resulted in an inhibition of immunosuppression. Thus we used the following drugs in combination with the MUC1-vaccine therapy: Indomethacin (COX1 and COX2 inhibitor), Celecoxib (COX2 inhibitor), 1-methyl tryptophan (indoleamine 2,3 dioxygenase inihibitor), and AH6809 (EP2 receptor antagonist). Mice were euthanized and tissue was collected post the final vaccination.

    We are studying adaptive social networks, focusing on spread of infectious disease as our primary example and including terrorist recruitment as an additional example. In an adaptive network, individuals change their social connections in response to their neighbors' characteristics, and these changes in network topology affect subsequent properties of the individuals. The network adaptation can be disease avoidance or connecting to potential recruits. Major goals of the project included extending previous models to incorporate more realistic network structure, adding spread of information that affects human behavior, studying the extinction of diseases, developing control strategies for epidemics on adaptive networks, and developing tools to analyze and monitor adaptive network properties. We have extended models to include network community structure, information spread, and more realistic social adaptation. We developed the first adaptive network model for terrorist recruitment. Our analytic work includes new techniques for predicting extinction rates of epidemics and the trajectory to extinction, methods to apply this to extinction on a network, and new moment closure approximation techniques that lead to more accurate predictions. For monitoring and control, we developed a method to quantify network adaptation and studied vaccine control for epidemics in adaptive networks.

    The Internet of Things is a bearer network based on the Internet,the traditional telecommunications network,wireless self-organizing networks etc,so that all can be individually addressable ordinary physical objects to achieve the interconnection network.The Internet of Things is evolved from the wireless sensor network,which has limited resource in energy,memory,calculation,bandwidth and etc,.In addition,many applications in the lnternet of Things are related to user privacy.In the process of data collection and transmission,the data may be forged,tampered,and a variety of other information security threats.In order to extend the network lifetime,to protect the authenticity and reliability of data fusion,this paper presents a reputation model of data fusion algorithm.The algorithm is verified by simulation,the experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is effective and the result of data aggregation is reliable.
