Urban mobility is not only one of the pillars of modern economic systems, but also a key issue in the quest for equality of opportunity, once it can improve access to other services. Currently, however, there are a number of negative issues related to traffic, especially in mega-cities, such as economical issues (cost of opportunity caused by delays), environmental (externalities related to emissions of pollutants), and social (traffic accidents). Solutions to these issues are more and more closely tied to information and communication technology. Indeed, a search in the technical literature (using the keyword "urban traffic" to filter out articles on data network traffic) retrieved the following number of articles (as of December 3, 2013): 9,443 (ACM Digital Library), 26,054 (Scopus), and 1,730,000 (Google Scholar). Moreover, articles listed in the ACM query relate to conferences as diverse as MobiCom, CHI, PADS, and AAMAS. This means that there is a big and diverse community of computer scientists and computer engineers who tackle research that is connected to the development of intelligent traffic and transportation systems. It is also possible to see that this community is growing, and that research projects are getting more and more interdisciplinary.

Toxicology and carcinogenesis studies were conducted by administering ethyleneglycol in the diet of 60 male mice (0, 6250, 12,500, or 25,000 ppm) and 60 female mice (0, 12,500, 25,000, or 50,000 ppm) for up to 103 weeks. These concentrations correspond to daily doses of approximately 1,500, 3,000, or 6,000 mg/kg body weight for male mice and 3,000, 6,000, or 12,000 mg/kg for females. Under the conditions of these 2-year feed studies, there was no evidence of carcinogenic activity of ethylene glycol in male B6C3F1 mice receiving 6,250, 12,500, or 25,000 ppm, or in female B6C3F1 mice receiving 12,500, 25,000, or 50,000 ppm. Administration of ethylene glycol resulted in hepatocellular hyaline degeneration in male mice fed diets containing 12,500 or 25,000 ppm and in female mice fed diets containing 50,000 ppm. An increased incidence of medial hyperplasia of small pulmonary arteries and arterioles occurred in female mice fed diets containing 12,500, 25,000, or 50,000 ppm ethylene glycol.

The VA Office of Inspector General Office of Healthcare Inspections assessed whether patients with diabetes mellitus and additional risk factors for lower extremity amputation received annual foot care in accordance with Veterans Health Administration (VHA) requirements. The study population consisted of patients with a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus and one or more of the following risk factors for amputation during July 1, 2009-February 28, 2010: peripheral vascular disease, peripheral neuropathy, and Charcot joint disease with foot deformity. We used a two-stage approach to evaluate the annual rate of patient encounters with VA or fee basis foot care specialists. We first examined administrative data for evidence of specialized foot care and then conducted a focused electronic health record review of a randomly selected sample of patients for whom there was no evidence of annual care in administrative data.

Biodiesel as a renewable and environmentally friendly alternative fuel derived from natural fats or vegetable oils has better lubricating properties and much higher cetane ratings than today's lower sulfur diesel fuels.It is considered as an attractive alternative to replace diesel fuels.In order to investigate application ofbiodiesel on vehicle diesel engines,the power and fuel economies performances of a diesel fueled soybean biodiesel with different blending ratios were tested under different engine loads and speeds.Experimental results show that,compared with diesel fuel,with increase in the biodiesel in the blends,the brake power and torque,and the brake specific energy consumption increase but the fuel consumption per hour and brake specific fuel consumption decrease.

1365.基于FPGA的高速并行卷积的编码器的设计

For the channel source of large capacity image data,the error correcting capability and coding efficiency of channel encoding is very important,in order to solve the real-time and parallel of encoding,a kind of code encoding method realized easily by FPGA is proposed.First,the coding principle of the convolutional code is introduced in detail; Secondly,the representation method of the convolutional encoder is elaborated,including the state transition diagram and the grid diagram of the convolutional code; Then,the convolutional encoding algorithm based on FPGA will be converting to achieve rapid,parallel processing method; Finally,(2,1,7) convolutional code algorithm is simulated and tested.The experimental results show that:the convolutionai encoding module is capable of handling the input data stream of up to 160Mbps,processing speed,to meet the parallel and real-time of convolutional encoding for the channel source of large capacity image data,to improve the efficiency ofconvolutional encoding.

Acute mountain sickness (AMS) and large decrements in endurance exercise performance occur when unacclimatized individuals rapidly ascend to high altitudes. Six altitude and hypoxia preacclimatization strategies were evaluated to determine their effectiveness for minimizing AMS and improving performance during altitude exposures. Strategies using hypobaric chambers or true altitude were much more effective overall than those using normobaric hypoxia (breathing < 20.9% oxygen).

1367.医疗机构进行策略多区建模以减少空气中的传染性病原体传播

Control of airborne infectious agents in hospitals is critical both to effective health care and to the control of direct and indirect health care costs. Current hospital design guidelines focus on ventilation rates, room pressure control and air filtration to control the spread of airborne infectious agents. Studies indicate, however, that there is much variability in hospital design strategies used by engineers to control airborne pathogens. This study focuses on a number of questions concerning current hospital design practices and provides an overview of the tools and methods that can be used to answer some of these questions. Multizone airflow and contaminant transport simulations are used to examine different control strategies and some related issues of design and application. Design issues associated with room pressurization, filtration, and ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) are also reviewed. The results provide some important insights into the following issues: 1) using a ventilation flow differential based on building leakage better captures the relevant airflow physics of space pressure control; 2) anterooms can be effective barriers for reducing contaminant transport due to pressure differential disruptions; and, 3) filtration can provide significant protection, with more effective protection provided by additional UVGI systems.

1369.基于CAN/LIN总线的汽车灯光故障诊断设计

Based on the research of the CAN/LIN bus communication protocol,an automobile lamps diagnostic system based on the CAN/LIN bus is designed.After the completion of the software and hardware designs of CAN nodes,LIN nodes and CAN/LIN nodes,the faults of automobile lamps can be successfully diagnosed.LIN node collects light switches and the gateway controls the car light's status via detecting the data frame on the LIN bus.The design and complementation of CAN node,LIN node and CAN/LIN gateway was finished,which made it possible to detect failures in vehicle.

The performance of the aluminum alloy makes it the most popular lightweight materials for the automobile manufacturers.However,due to the disparity on the crystal structure,it has the higher springback values compared with steel.In order to solve the problem,we put forward a new springback compensation method based on displacement compensation principle and the principle of curved surface fairing design methods.Though full cycle simulation and calculate springback value for each working procedure,then generate the springback compensation surface.The method's practical application effect is good.
