Vendors in the market are offering radar sensors based on the range and the technology (continuous and pulsating). The long-range radars applications are based on 77-GHz frequency. However, 79 GHz is gaining traction for short and mid-range applications, like industrial and automotive, owing to the higher form factor with 3X smaller antennas. It is also benefiting from a wide frequency band of 4 GHz (77 to 81 GHz). Radar sensors have become an integral part of the smart home market, particularly offering contactless control for lighting, air-conditioning, sanitary systems, and automatic door, as well as for security systems, such as alarms, access control, and tracking applications. Due to the robust growth, the autonomous car is instrumental in driving the radar sensor market. The radar technology is driven by the new car assessment program among the OEMs, as they integrate these systems to complement camera devices for ADAS applications. Radars, combined with other sensors, provide enhanced information on safety and collision avoidance. Vendors in the market are building capabilities and investing in acquiring exper tise specific to the automotive industry, which is expected to not only hold the prominent share of the radar sensor market but also expected to augment the demand even further, over the growing demand of EVs. The vendors are expected to invest in new and emerging technology and product capabilities development for the sensors to add value to the offerings and help themselves to remain relevant in the market.

油车降油耗+电动提续航,轻量化是大势所驱。根据最新的《乘用车燃料消耗 量评价方法及指标》规定,燃油车 2025 年平均油耗要降至 4L/100km。而 2019 年工信部披露的 114 家乘用车企业,平均燃料消耗量实际值为 5.56L/100km,当 年达标的企业仅占 40%。相关研究表明,燃油汽车车重降低 10%水平下,能够带 来 5%-8%的能耗减少以及 10%左右的排放量减少。因此,通过轻量化技术来达到 降油耗标准变得十分关键。相较于传统燃油车,新能源汽车轻量化更为迫切。在 电驱动技术以及电池能量密度方面没有突破性进展的时候,续航里程和电池成本 是制约新能源车普及的核心因素。通过减轻车重提高续航里程或减少带电量以降 低生产成本成为新能源汽车发展的必由之路。

乘用车、重卡:6 月乘用车同比增速上行,重卡继续高增长。根据中机 中心,20 年 6 月我国汽车行业合格证为 257.4 万辆,同比增长 31.7%, 20 年累计下滑 12.8%,其中:6 月我国广义乘用车合格证为 176.0 万 辆,同比增长 17.4%,20 年累计下滑 21.0%,环比增长 10.3%;6 月 重卡合格证同比增长 40.5%,在 4、5 月同比分别增长 54.4%、48.2% 后仍维持高景气,20 年累计增长 20.5%,分企业看,6 月中国重汽、 福田汽车同比增速表现大幅好于行业。

传统能源乘用车中低油耗乘用车的生产量在积分达标时的核算优惠力度,从2019版征求意见稿的0.2倍,改为 2021-2023年为0.5、0.3、0.2倍。短期优惠幅度有减小,利好车企通过发展新能源车满足积分要求,略超此前预期。
