This document is our final technical report and describes the efforts under contract N00014-11-1-0521. The objective of this work was to establish the feasibility of creating solution processed metamaterials formed from composites of semiconductor quantum dots (QDs). The specific goals of this work included, (1) modeling of the metamaterial's optical properties, (2) developing fabrication techniques and (3) experimental characterization of the materials' optical properties. Modeling was first conducted and it was found that under ideal conditions, a high frequency magnetic response could be created in metamaterials formed from composites of quantum dots utilizing excitonic resonances. However, in experimentally fabricated films using cadmium selenide QDs, it was found that the excitonic resonance is significantly broadened, preventing the high index needed to realize metamaterials with tailored effective permittivity and permeability. To overcome this challenge, lead sulfide QDs were then explored due to their high bulk index. Using lead sulfide QDs it was found that a considerably higher effective constituent index could be achieved. However, it was found that thick QD films and multilayer films could not be realized without inducing severe cracking. Patterning of multilayer films was achieved but due to their thin thickness, optical resonances could not be supported.

根据《危险化学品安全管理条例》,危险化学品是指具有毒害、腐蚀、爆炸、燃烧、助燃等性质,对人体、设施、环境具有危害的剧毒化学品和其他化学品。目前列入《危险化学品名录》(2002版)的化学品共分为八大类,3823种,其中列入《剧毒化学品目录》的有335种,化工行业主要大宗原料和产品80%以上属于危险化学品,另外《禁止化学武器公约》监控的化学品绝大部分属于危险化学品。危险化学品既是重要的化工原料,也与人民生活密切相关,在国民经济和社会发展中发挥着不可替代的作用。危险化学品具有生产过程工艺复杂、高温高压、易燃易爆、有毒有害、链长面广等特性,一旦发生事故,不仅会带来人身伤害,还会引起环境污染等次生灾害,直接影响经济发展与社会稳定。“十二五”是加快转变危险化学品发展方式的关键时期,为优化产业布局,规范安全管理,提升本质安全,特制定本规划。本规划是《石化和化学工业“十二五”发展规划》的重要组成部分,是危险化学品发展布局的重要指导性文件。

Given the many challenges that silicon based transistors are facing in continuedscaling, it has become highly attractive to consider alternate material platforms in thepursuit of high performance electronics, such as InAs for its high electron mobility.Traditionally InAs devices have suffered from many processing difficulties and high offcurrents. However many of these issues have been resolved with the introduction of III-Vnanostructure on insulator platforms. One interesting challenge that remains is the patterned p-type doping of InAs. The scarcity of photolithographically patternable p-typedoping techniques is a major disadvantage of the InAs platform, as it prevents InAs frombeing applied to many known device structures.

28730.棕榈酸修饰的α-螺旋两亲性多肽的共组装

设计合成了3条棕榈酸修饰的两亲性多肽C15H31CO-(AEELAKK)3-NH2(PA1),C15H31CO-(AEALAKK) 3-NH2(PA2)和C15H31 CO-(AEELAKA)3-NH2(PA3),研究了其在水溶液中的自组装行为以及带净正电荷的PA2和带净负电荷的PA3等比例混合后的共组装行为,并推测了其机理.圆二色谱分析结果表明,其二级结构均为α-螺旋结构,PA2和PA3等比例混合后α-螺旋含量升高.利用透射电镜观察了PA1,PA2,PA3以及PA2+ PA3(体积比1∶1)自组装体的形貌,结果表明,PA2和PA3等比例混合后共组装形成了长的纳米纤维.芘荧光探针研究了3种两亲性多肽以及PA2+PA3的临界胶束浓度.
