    A distribution transformer is used in the electric distribution system to step-down the high voltage to a lower level so the end-users such as industrial, commercial, as well as household, can consume distribution conveniently. Since 2007, the DOE has regulated the energy efficiency level of low-voltage dry-type distribution transformers. The regulations were also imposed by the same on liquid-immersed and medium-voltage dry-type distribution transformers from 2010. Sometimes, a distribution transformer is designed and constructed in a way that it is mounted on a utility pole during installation and is well-known as a pole-mount transformer. The other ones, which are installed on a concrete base, at the ground level are better known as pad-mount transformers.

    Hydro-pumped storage is an altered use of conventional hydropower technology to store and manage energy. Hydro-pumped storage projects store electricity by circulating water between an upper and lower reservoir. The electrical energy is converted to potential energy and stored in the form of water at an upper elevation. Pumping the water uphill for temporary storage recharges the battery, and during periods of high electricity demand the stored water is released back through the turbines and converted back to electricity as in the case of a conventional hydropower station. Hydro-pumped storage cycle efficiencies exceed 80 percent, unlike other energy storage and thermal technologies that have lower efficiency.

  • 14590.置换法开采天然气水合物的实验研究

    天然气水合物是由天然气分子和水分子在低温高压的条件下形成的非化学计量固体笼形结晶化合物。纯净的天然气水合物色白且可燃,很像致密的冰雪,故俗称可燃冰。其结构是由水分子构成点阵结构,气体分子则填充于结构的笼状空穴中。现已发现的气体水合物结构有3种,分别为I型、Ⅱ型和H型,天然气水合物和CO2水合物同属I型水合物。
