随着互联网技术的快速发展，中国人工智能产业也迎来了前所未有的大发展，智能汽车、智能机器人、智能无人机等产业相继出现。文章基于中国2009—2019年人工智能产业发展的经济数据，利用锡尔系数、基尼系数、对数离差值和泰尔指数分析了中国人工智能产业发展存在的区域差异性。研究发现：一是从整体上来看，中国人工智能产业发展水平存在着较大的差异。中国东部地区人工智能产业的发展水平要明显高于中西部地区。在区域内部差异和区域外部差异系数中，区域间差异要明显高于区域内差异；二是无论是区域内部差异和还是区域外部差异都在逐渐缩小，但是绝对差异依然较大。这可能是因为中国人工智能产业的快速发展和布局，加速了部分城市人工智能产业的发展。企业规模、产业结构、人力资本、政府资金投入会对人工智能产业发展产生显著的正向影响，在人工智能产业的推进过程中可以此为突破口。
