Parameters are obtained by mapping the entity structural electronic control unit pump injection system of HXn5 diesel locomotive introduced from USA.A simulation model was built up with GT-Fuel,which can well reflect the electromagnetic and hydraulic characteristics of the fuel injection system,as well as the fuel injection rate and fuel quantity.Compares with locally high-power diesel,the calculation curves show its superiority,which will establish a foundation for optimization and improvement of local fuel injection system.

This report focuses on the light-duty vehicle sector in the United States and restricts its discussion of electric vehicles to plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs), which include battery electric vehicles (BEVs)1 and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). The common feature of these vehicles is that their batteries are charged by being plugged into the electric grid. BEVs differ from PHEVs because they operate solely on electricity stored in a battery (that is, there is no other power source); PHEVs have internal combustion engines that can supplement the electric power train. The electric vehicle offers many promisesincreasing U.S. energy security by reducing petroleum dependence, contributing to climate-change initiatives by decreasing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, stimulating long-term economic growth through the development of new technologies and industries, and improving public health by improving local air quality. There are, however, substantial technical, social, and economic barriers to widespread adoption of electric vehicles, including vehicle cost, small driving range, long charging times, and the need for a charging infrastructure. In addition, people are unfamiliar with electric vehicles, are uncertain about their costs and benefits, and have diverse needs that current electric vehicles might not meet. Although a person might derive some personal benefits from ownership, the costs of achieving the social benefits, such as reduced GHG emissions, are borne largely by the people who purchase the vehicles. Given the recognized barriers to electric-vehicle adoption, Congress asked the Department of Energy (DOE) to commission a study by the National Academies to address market barriers that are slowing the purchase of electric vehicles and hindering the deployment of supporting

Controller area network (CAN) is one of the popular networks with the international standard,and adopted mostly on the vehicle.SAE J1939 is designed to allow electronic devices from different vendors to communicate with each other through a standard architecture.CAN communication length have some relationship with CAN bus rate,which may influence the rate choice and network topology.We design a CAN network with distributed control systems for a pure electric vehicle.The identification bit implementation of data for vehicle controllers is present in accordance with J1939 protocol.The vehicle network topology is considered based on controlling functions and CAN bus harness arrangement.The communication process for them is given based on CANoe platform and finally tested in real electric vehicle environment.

Indeed, understanding this variation may be a first step towards the improvement of controller performance. Since variation is present in any process, deciding when the variation is natural and when it needs correction is the key to monitor control performance using SPC. In this context, it should be stressed that SPC is a monitoring rather than control technique because no automatic corrective action is taken after an abnormal process situation is detected. SPC can be traced back to Walter Shewhart, who introduced the use of SPC control charts in the 1920s for adapting management processes to create profitable situations for both businesses and consumers. Today, SPC has become more than control charting alone; it is an umbrella term for the set of activities and methods for data analysis and quality control. This chapter contains a brief description of selected SPC techniques: Sect. 8.1 presents some control charts typically used in univariate SPC; multivariate SPC methods are given in Sect. 8.2.

The number of control loops used in process industry is growing continuously, whilst manpower is being reduced. Consequently even companies that have embraced new control technologies struggle to maintain satisfactory performance over the long term. Numerous investigations have shown that the performance of control systems in the process industries is not satisfactory, as mentioned in Chap. 1. This particularly applies for the steel industry, where it is the norm to perform controller tuning only at the commissioning stage and then never again. A loop that worked well at one time is prone to degradation over time unless regular check and maintenance is undertaken.

This paper has set up the dynamic model of the electro-magnetic gear and deduced the transfer function which the input is electric current and the output is torque,and designed the neural network PID controller in the electro-magnetic gears control system according to the principle of the electro-magnetic gear transmission system,which has been simulated dynamically under MATLAB environment.The result shows that design method can adjust changes in real-time basis according to the input electric current,which improves the dynamic features greatly and achieves steady output of the system.

Based on the analysis of the model of the Single-Degree-of-Freedom (SDF) magnetic bearing system,the issue of design and simulation of PD control strategy in the system is investigated.First,the plant model of the AMB (Active Magnetic Bearings) with Single-Degree-ofFreedom (SDF) is found out to be unstable plant.Then,based on the root locus theory and Routh stability criteria,the necessity of derivation action in the controller is analyzed.In addition,the PD control strategy for a particular plant is designed,the effectiveness of which is validated by the given simulation examples.The proposed approach can provide an important reference for the practical application of PD control strategy in the magnetic bearing system.

In this report, we compare the performance of the Lucas-Kanade algorithm with feature tracking with the bioplausible optical flow algorithm to achieve pose stabilization in the context of one-dimensional (1-D) attitude stabilization. These results have been benchmarked against an ideal controller in both simulation and robotic experimentation. Within both environments, the accuracy, stability, and settling time were evaluated as a function of contrast and system noise. Both algorithms achieved reasonable performance when compared to the ideal controller, but in most cases the Lucas-Kanade algorithm outperformed the bioplausible algorithm. Within the evaluated serial implementation, the Lucas-Kanade algorithm was also faster. It is anticipated that both performance and processing speed will improve for the bioplausible algorithm when it is implemented in a parallel instantiation.

Timc-varying linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control for vibration of coupled vehicle-bridge system is studied.The vehicle is modeled as a moving mass model with three degrees of freedom,which consists of vehicle body,bogie and wheel.Active suspensions are adopted for the primary and secondary ones,and the control forces are produced by two actuators placed between the bogie and wheel,and between the vehicle body and the bogie,respectively.Vehicle-bridge coupling systems are time-dependent,which lead to the time-varying Riccati differential equation and the time-varying Kalman-Bucy filter equation in the LQG controller design.However,both of them are solved precisely via precise integration method and symplectic conservative perturbation method.In the example,the time history responses of the bridge and the vehicle were calculated respectively for the vehicle with passive suspensions or with active suspensions.Numerical results show that with active suspensions adopted,ride comfort can be improved when the vehicles passing through the bridge.
