2023年3月24日，特斯拉人形机器人Optimus携全新Model X Plaid在昆山城东特斯拉中心巡展亮相。据工作人员介绍，Optimus与特斯拉汽车“技术同源”，全身拥有28个自由度，手部有 11个自由度，会利用动作捕捉学习人类，已经可以行走、上楼梯、下蹲、拿取物体等动作。2023年7月6日世界人工智能大会在上海举办，特斯拉Optimus再度参展亮相。规划中，Optimus将会替代人类完成重复性、繁琐性劳动，使得人类可以从事更多创造性工作。

人形机器人产业化加速，或将成为下一个万亿市场:人形机器人发展历程可以追溯到20世纪初，1969年日本早稻田大学加藤一郎实验室率先解决了机器人双足行走问题，研发出第一台以双脚走路的仿人机器人。近年来，波士顿动力、敏捷机器人、特斯拉等陆续推出人形机器人产品，人形机器人或将从实验室走出，进入新的发展时期。长期来看，人形机器人销量预 计不低于现有汽车行业水平，甚至能到达与人口1:1 的水准，根据世界汽车工业协会(OICA)最新数据显示，2022年全球汽车销量约为8163万辆，按照人形机器人单价2万美元计算，市场规模约11.42万亿元(汇率按照7计算)，潜在市场空间巨大。
