  • 71.使用智能调度和扩大规划周期来改善机场吞吐量

    The first phase of this study investigated the amount of time a flight can be delayed or expedited within the Terminal Airspace using only speed changes. The Arrival Capacity Calculator analysis tool was used to predict the time adjustment envelope for standard descent arrivals and then for CDA arrivals. Results ranged from 0.77 to 5.38 minutes. STAR routes were configured for the ACES simulation, and a validation of the ACC results was conducted comparing the maximum predicted time adjustments to those seen in ACES. The final phase investigated full runway-to-runway trajectories using ACES. The radial distance used by the arrival scheduler was incrementally increased from 50 to 150 nautical miles (nmi). The increased Planning Horizon radii allowed the arrival scheduler to arrange, path stretch, and speed-adjust flights to more fully load the arrival stream. The average throughput for the high volume portion of the day increased from 30 aircraft per runway for the 50 nmi radius to 40 aircraft per runway for the 150 nmi radius for a traffic set representative of high volume 2018. The recommended radius for the arrival scheduler s Planning Horizon was found to be 130 nmi, which allowed more than 95loading of the arrival stream.

    Accident protection system at railway level crossing usually informs vehicle drivers and pedestrian that train is approaching, and eventually prevents them from passing the level crossing. This paper proposes a new level crossing safety system to solve the problem of existing system and to deal with the changing traffic condition at level crossing. The objective of the proposed system is to detect stopped vehicles at a level crossing with the state-of-the-art intelligent technology (sensor, computer, data processing, communication) and to transmit information to train allowing train drivers to stop their trains automatically and to display information of approaching train to vehicle drivers in real-time and to develop technology for accident prevention and damage reduction in connection with road traffic signal system. To evaluate the function and operation, we have demonstrated the proposed system at real railway level crossing of Young-dong line of Korail with Sea Train.

    This report has presented two software tools implemented in MATLAB to simulate a 13.6 g ornithopter in the sagittal plane and horizontal plane. Each of these simulations were compared totrueight data colected using a Vicon motion capture system to determine their accuracy.

    Our main focus here is on demonstrating properties of LBMPC controllers on the quadrotor testbed, with an implementation of LBMPC that runs in real-time on the quadrotor's on-board computer. Robustness to “mis-learning” is one aspect of LBMPC that we demonstrate in an experiment where we deliberately mis-tune a learning algorithm. We also demonstrate the improvement in performance possible when a well-tuned learning algorithm is used, show learning used to update the model in a physically meaningful way, and demonstrate the use of the LBMPC controller in an integrated robotic task requiring speed and precision: we design a controller that enables the quadrotor to catch balls.

    Electronics designed for use in NASA space missions are required to work efficiently and reliably under harsh environment conditions. These Include radiation, extreme temperatures, thermal cycling, to name a few. Preliminary data obtained on new Gallium Nitride and Silicon Carbide power devices under exposure to radiation followed by long term thermal cycling are presented. This work was done in collaboration with GSFC and JPL in support of the NASA Electronic Parts and Packaging (NEPP) Program.

    The objectives of the study were to use finite element computer modeling to investigate the behavior of Wisconsin W wide-flanged prestressed girder ends during and immediately following the strand detensioning process, and to identify solutions for controlling girder end cracking by reducing concrete tension strain or introducing sufficient reinforcement to keep concrete tension strains low and crack width limited.

    This paper outlines an architecture that provides data and software services to enable a set of Unmanned Aircraft (UA) platforms to operate in a wide range of air domains which may include terminal, en route, oceanic and tactical. The architecture allows a collection of command,control, situational awareness, conflict detection and avoidance, and data management elements to be composed in order to meet different requirement sets as defined by specific UA platforms, users, and operating regimes. The architecture discussed is based on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with open standards on the interfaces between elements. Services may include common situational awareness, sense and avoid,weather, data management and flight plan information. Service contracts specify quality of service,interface specifications, service description metadata, security provisions, and governance. Pieces of the architecture have been implemented by MIT Lincoln Laboratory in the form of a Sense and Avoid (SAA) testbed that provides some of the core services. This paper describes the general architecture and a SAA testbed implementation that begins to realize that architecture and quantifies the benefits. The proposed architecture is not directed at a specific program but is intended to provide guidance and offer architectural best practices.

    The SGOS executive and its subsystems have been an integral component of the Shuttle Launch Safety Program for almost thirty years. it is usable (via the LAN) by over 2000 NASA employees at the Kennedy Space Center and 11,000 contractors. SGOS supports over 800 models comprised of several hundred thousand lines of code and over 1,00 MCP procedures. Yet neither language has a for loop. The simulation software described in this paper is used to train ground controllers and to certify launch countdown readiness.

    Flight controllers in NASA s mission control centers work day and night to ensure that missions succeed and crews are safe. The IT goals of NASA mission control centers are similar to those of most businesses: to evolve IT infrastructure from basic to dynamic. This paper describes Mission Control Technologies (MCT), an application platform that is powering mission control today and is designed to meet the needs of future NASA control centers. MCT is an extensible platform that provides GUI components and a runtime environment. The platform enables NASA's IT goals through its use of lightweight interfaces and configurable components, which promote standardization and incorporate useful solution patterns. The MCT architecture positions mission control centers to reach the goal of dynamic IT, leading to lower cost of ownership, and treating software as a strategic investment.

    For emerging safety-critical systems, novel design methodologies are becoming necessary to cope with early stage design validation, performance and timing prediction, and design space exploration. In this paper, we propose a tool integration technique for architectural exploration of an aircraft electric power system (EPS) controller using Ptolemy II and Metro II to satisfy requirements imposed on safety-critical system design. The functional model of a newly suggested co-simulation environment is implemented with Ptolemy II and the model for architectural exploration is realized by SystemC. To construct the co-simulation environment and combine the functional model and the architectural model, Metro II semantics is employed. We verify effectiveness and extensibility of our new approach using experiments and results with example candidates for the aircraft EPS controller.
