By closely observing the global and domestic economic dynamism, RAPBN of 2019 has been prepared in a bid to support implementation of priority development projects under the Government Working Plan (RKP) for 2019 through healthy and sustainable fiscal policy management. In line with the plan, the government proposed the draft state budget for 2019 with a deficit of 1.84 percnt of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), smaller than a deficit target of 2.12 percent set for 2018. The deficit is to be prudently covered with funds from financing sources to keep the debt ratio within a manageable level and will seek to control the deficit in safe limit. The fiscal deficit is lower at 1.84% that the increase in foreign debt would be smaller although the the growth target could not be too ambitious at 5.3%.
