Business process outsourcing (BPO) is a form of outsourcing that involves subcontracting the business processes of an organization to a third-party vendor that has enough expertise in the required fields to carry out the process. It can be considered to be an effective strategy of delegating one or more business activities to external companies (vendors) that administer and manage the selected activity based on defined and measurable performance criteria. BPO helps client firms increase their operational efficiency; concentrate on their core competencies; reduce time-to-market; obtain access to fresh talent, experience, and the latest technologies; and also develop an economical cost structure over a period of time. The BPO market in China has continued to grow despite the recent economic downturn. A majority of the growth of the market comes from the Large Corporations, Small and Mediumsized Businesses (SMBs), and Government sectors. The BPO market in China was valued at US$2,424.4 million in 2011. It is expected to grow at a CAGR of 21.4 during the period 2011–2015.

BMI Supply View: China is a key player on the world grain stage, given the size of its production and its growing consumption. Corn is the most important grain in the country. We estimate 2012/13 corn output to have grown by a robust 7.4% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 207.0mn tonnes on the back of expansion in area harvested. Corn acreage has reportedly risen by 1.2% on the year to 35.0mn hectares (ha) as high prices boosted planting by farmers, especially small-scale farmers. As reflected in a recent survey, 61% of farmers in the Liaoning region had less than 1ha of farmland, up from 58% a year ago, while farms larger than 8ha rose to 4% from 2%.

The Telecommunication Services market in China is expected to grow at a faster rate than in many developed and developing countries.
