Meta-xylene or m-xylene is an aromatic isomer of xylene with two methyl groups attached at the meta position of a benzene ring. This aromatic hydrocarbon is produced with the help of a catalyst in processes such as adsorptive separation, moving bed adsorptive chromatography, and crystallization. A relay is used in electrical engineering to register overcurrent, overvoltage, reverse power flow, and over- and under-frequencies to avoid accidents or flashovers. It trips the circuit breaker when a fault is detected. If there is any discrepancy or abnormality in the current voltage or any other power measurement, the relay detects it and triggers an alarm. There are two types of relay: electromechanical relays and digital relays. Solid-state relays are electronic switching devices that operate on application of small external voltage across control terminals. Solidstate relays are smaller than electromechanical relays and are more reliable as they do not have moving parts.

Waterjet machines provide an efficient method for developing intricate machine parts with relative ease and precision. These machines facilitate versatile and effective machining, cutting, and shaping of metals and other materials. A waterjet machine uses a pump to eject water at an extremely high pressure (approximately 6,000 bars) through a nozzle and flushes out a cutting jet of water to cut metals. There are two types of waterjet machines: pure waterjet machines and abrasive waterjet machines. Waterjet machines are used across several industries such as Automotive, Die Mold, Part Manufacturing, Aerospace, Defense, Shipbuilding, Electric and Electronic, Healthcare, Consumer Durables, Plastics, Woodwork, Food Processing, Glass Work, and Robotics, and also in several Job Shop sectors. These machines generate less heat compared to other cutting technologies, and can, therefore, be used on materials that are very sensitive to high temperatures. Waterjet machines also help ensure minimal wastage of the metal.

A smart grid networking platform consists of three components, namely, hardware, software, and services. Hardware includes cables, switches, in-home devices, and controllers. These devices are backed up by networking software, which consists of network performance monitoring management, IP address management, network traffic management, network device management, network configuration management, network security management, and other related software. These hardware and software components coordinate to develop a mesh network that provides a utility grid with features such as substation automation, distribution automation, energy management, real-time control, self-healing, and increased reliability and security. Smart grid networking systems enable a utility to analyze and map the energy consumption patterns of its customers, thereby helping in load forecasting and peak demand management along with risk determination. The systems also enable the reduction of power outages by providing detailed information about the functioning status of the power system network. With the rapid development of smart grids and smart grid-related equipment and solutions, management of huge data volumes has become a major concern among power utilities.
