总结国内外关于木材机械加工性能的研究现状,从标准规定范围、测试一般要求、试样尺寸、测试方法和评价方法等方面,对我国新颁布实施的林业行业标准LY/T 2054-2012《锯材机械加工性能评价方法》和美国标准ASTMD1666-1987 (Reapproved 2004)进行比较,并对木材机械加工性能评价方法的研究与应用提出建议.

北美是全球已探明致密油资源量最丰富的地区，且美国和加拿大对致密油的勘探开发理论认识全面、技术研发相对成熟，是全球实现致密油商业化开采的两个典型国家。本文通过梳理北美地区致密油勘探开发现状及发展前景，从资源供需、行业发展、地缘政治和国际油价等四个方面分析了其影响，认为致密油在北美的迅速发展提高了美国的原油产量，展示了其成功开发的必备条件，也改变了世界能源供需的版图；但其他国家受地质条件和配套设施等制约，尚无法快速实现商业化，致密油在全球的产量不足以改变国际油价的走势。

An automotive transmission system is an integral part of an automotive powertrain, which is an amalgamation of various automotive parts such as the engine, transmission system, drive shafts, and the final drive. An automotive transmission system is an assembly of gears, shafts, torque convertors, gear shifters, and other transmission components. The primary function of an automotive transmission system is to transmit the power produced by the combustion of fuel in an automotive engine to the driving axle, which uses the transmitted power to move the vehicle forward. Automotive transmission systems are of four types—manual, automatic, automated manual, and CVT. CVT is a type of automatic transmission that can continuously change gear ratio in a non-step manner, by way of two pulleys and a belt running between them.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations defines biopesticide as “a compound that kills organisms by virtue of specific biological effects rather than as a broader chemical poison." Biopesticides are living organisms that are used to destroy agricultural pests. As against chemical pesticides, whose residues have a tendency to bioaccumulate (accumulate in the bodies of living organisms and the food chain) and cause hazards to flora and fauna, biopesticides are beneficial to the ecological chain and the environment. Their benefits are mainly due to the following two reasons:The Global Biopesticides market was valued at US$1.47 billion in 2012. In 2012, North America contributed the major share to the Global Biopesticides market, and it was followed by Europe. The market in Europe is expected to be the fastest growing market for biopesticides during the period 2012-2016 because of its stringent regulations pertaining to human health and environmental safety. The Biopesticides market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 15.87 percent during the forecast period.

Activated carbon is a form of carbon with exceptionally high surface area and micro porosity for adsorption and chemical reactions. In order to manufacture activated carbon, commonly available materials such as coal, wood, or coconut shells are processed in the presence of heat and gas. The property of activated carbon to adsorb different substances is utilized in a variety of ways. The major application of activated carbon is in the Water Purification and Gas Treatment industries. Other applications of activated carbon include metal extraction, sewage treatment, gas filtration, pharmaceutical applications, food and beverage processing, and controlling emission from automobiles.

IT in the Healthcare sector is extremely useful to improve the quality and efficiency of services delivered. Though increased investments on IT systems will eventually lead to higher expenditure by patients due to the advanced technology used, healthcare providers still choose to increase their spending on IT. Both the Private and Public sectors are engaging in various projects that have increased the usage of IT in healthcare. Private companies are especially seen to be spending more on IT and this trend is forecast to continue in the coming years. Maintenance of standard record formats and financial incentives from governments and other international welfare organizations will further encourage investments in IT systems in the Healthcare sector. IT will help enhancing the delivery systems in the Healthcare sector and reduce the occurrence of errors.
