Automotive coatings are products that enhance the exterior appearance and durability of a vehicle by protecting it from harsh external factors such as UV radiation, heat and cold, and grit from the road. Automotive adhesives and sealants are bonding agents with similar chemical constitutions and different functionalities. Adhesives are primarily used to provide more structural stability to objects by binding two surfaces together, whereas sealants are used to enable airtight or watertight closure of the space between two surfaces by adding a protective coating between them. Energy harvesting devices are devices that convert ambient energy into electrical energy. Ambient energy is the energy available in the environment such as solar, wind, and chemical energy. During the energy harvesting process, a transducer is used to convert the ambient energy into electrical energy. The amount of electrical energy produced is small but it can be used for low-power applications.
