The self-balanced two-wheel Cars are often devised in various competitions,and are involved in this direction in many large games.Based on the Freescal Semiconductor XS128 series single-chip microcomputer as the core controller,with the gyroscope and angle sensor to achieve two-wheel Car self balance,the self-balanced two-wheel structure,the balance principle and the control algorithm are introduced emphatically,and the self-balanced two-wheel car is finally completed through repeated testing.

On February 12, 2013, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Glen Clutter (victim), a 51- year-old general inside laborer and acting motorman, with 31 years of mining experience sustained fatal injuries. A slate bar struck the victim as he attempted to re-rail a supply car. Clutter and Scott Shay, General Inside Laborer, were attempting to re-rail the first of four cars that had de-railed. The car shifted and the slate bar struck Clutter on the right side of his face and on the forehead.

On Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at approximately 7:15 p.m., John Myles, a 44- year-old shuttle car operator with four years of total mining experience was fatally injured when he was pinned underneath the rear frame of a rubber-tired battery-powered section scoop. The accident occurred on the Number 3 Section, 002-0 Mechanized Mining Unit (MMU), in the connecting crosscut between the Number 5 and Number 6 entries, two crosscuts inby the section dumping point at survey station No. 1170, and 2 crosscuts outby the working face. The accident occurred as the victim was shoveling loose coal and loose material near the ribs in a crosscut adjacent to an entry where a miner was operating a scoop to clean the roadway. The scoop entered the crosscut in a reverse direction and struck the victim, pinning him beneath the batteries of the machine.

On May 17, 2013, Isaac A. Garcia, Mucker, age 22, was killed when he was pinned between two loaded ore cars. An electric locomotive was pulling a train of 13 cars loaded with ore up a slight grade when the eleventh car derailed and uncoupled from the tenth car. Garcia was attempting to unhook the safety chain between the two ore cars.

The Wilms' tumor gene, WT1, encodes transcription factors that regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. WT1 protein is highly expressed in malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM), and is a rational target for immunotherapy. We have developed a vaccine comprised of four WT1 heteroclitic peptides that are given together with Montanide and GM-CSF as immunologic adjuvants. This WT1 vaccine was previously tested in a small pilot trial, and shown to be safe and immunogenic. We have chosen to test the efficacy of this vaccine in MPM patients who have minimal disease burden after completion of multimodality therapy, but remain at exceedingly high risk for recurrence. The specific aim of this project is to conduct a multicenter, blinded, randomized trial comparing treatment with the WT-1 peptide vaccine + Montanide/GM-CSF to treatment with Montanide/GM-CSF alone in patients with MPM who have completed multimodality therapy. The primary endpoint is progression free survival. The trial has opened at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and is actively enrolling patients.

A hydraulic cylinder is a mechanical actuator that produces linear motion and unidirectional force by using pressurized hydraulic fluid. It converts the energy stored in the hydraulic fluid into a force, allowing linear motion of the cylinder. A hydraulic cylinder consists of a cylinder barrel, cylinder cap, piston rod, piston, cylinder base, rod gland, cushions, seal, and cylinder base connection. Hydraulic cylinders are classified into two types according to their function: singleacting cylinders and double-acting cylinders. In single-acting cylinders, fluid is pressurized from one side of the cylinder during extraction and expansion, while in double-acting cylinders fluid is pressurized from both sides. Double-acting cylinders are further divided into two types: single rod end cylinders and double rod end cylinders. Almost 50of all ER+ breast tumors will not respond to endocrine therapy. Resistance to endocrine therapy remains a significant clinical problem and advanced ER+ breast cancer is largely an incurable disease. Endocrine manipulation in sensitive cells can result in the induction of cell death through autophagy and/or apoptosis. We have recently obtained data implicating the unfolded protein response (UPR) as induced by the splicing of X-box binding protein-1 (XBP1) in the regulation of endocrine responsiveness in breast cancer cells. UPR is a key component of the endoplasmic reticulum stress response and has not previously been implicated in endocrine responsiveness. We hypothesize that XBP1(S) is a key regulator of breast cancer cell fate, acting through its regulation of UPR, BCL2, and BCL2:BECN1 heterodimers, and their subsequent effects on autophagy and apoptosis. We will determine how XBP1(S) affects cell fate, evaluating the role of an induction of UPR that activates a prosurvival autophagy. In endocrine sensitive cells, autophagy should persist and become a cell death mechanism that can also initiate apoptosis. In resistant cells, basal autophagy should represent a survival mechanism to deal with the loss of autocrine and other growth factor signaling that accompanies endocrine therapy. We will explore the mechanistic role of XBP1(S) and its integrated signaling through UPR and BCL2 to regulate cell fate in both endocrine sensitive and resistant cells.
