CFB boilers are environment-friendly boilers that use a wide range of coal from low quality coal,coal blends, pet coke, and various alternative fuel sources. They enable reduction of harmful emissions such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, and carbon dioxide. Earlier versions of CFB boilers were considered more cost competitive than conventional pulverized coal-fired boilers fitted with an FGD or SCR unit. However, in recent years, all large CFB boilers are required to add an FGD or SCR unit because of the introduction of stringent emission norms in several countries. A CFB boiler has a combustion chamber where various types of fuel are burnt to generate steam. It can be implemented in various applications in the Oil and Gas, Chemical, Power Stations,Petrochemical, and Pulp and Paper industries. The CFB Boiler market in China is expected to witness moderate growth during the period 2013-2018 mainly because of increasing demand for electricity in the country. The overall market installation of CFB boilers is expected to grow at a CAGR of 2.7 percent during the forecast period.

Companion diagnostic tests are used to identify suitable patients for administering specific drugs and monitoring the prognosis of drug effects on the disease. This concept of combining a drug with a diagnostic test is known as predictive medicine or personalized medicine. A companion diagnostic test has the ability to predict the risks of the disease and monitor its therapeutic response. The tests enable physicians to make decisions on the type of drugs and dosage administration and thereby reduce the mortality rates associated with diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. The demand for companion diagnostic tests is expected to grow at a significant rate during the forecast period. In 2013, the Americas dominated the Global Companion Diagnostics market and it was followed by the EMEA region. Together, these two regions accounted for 90 percent of the market revenue. However, the APAC region is expected to grow at the fastest rate during the forecast period because of the increase in the incidence of infectious diseases, the demand for targeted therapeutics, and the increased adoption of diagnostic products. Peripheral I.V. catheters are peripheral venous devices used to infuse medication or fluids directly into a vein, or draw blood samples for testing. These catheters are made of a non-irritant material, such as silicone, which negates any side effects caused when they are left in the patient's arm for several weeks or months. Peripheral I.V. catheters are introduced into the peripheral vein using a needle and fixed to the patient's skin with adhesive tape. The needle is then removed, leaving a small tube of the cannula at the insertion site. Advanced peripheral I.V. catheters are equipped with additional safety features to prevent needlestick injuries, which allow for their use in critical care units in hospitals. The Global Peripheral I.V. Catheter market is growing at a steady pace and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.08 percent during the period 2013-2018. In terms of geographies, the Americas dominated the market in 2013, with the US being its leading revenue contributor because of its high per capita healthcare expenditure. An artificial lift pump is installed in oil wells to increase pressure within the reservoir and encourage oil to move to the surface. Artificial lift pumps are used when the natural force inside the well is not enough to push oil to the surface. Globally, more than 70 percent of oil wells have lost natural pressure and are in their mature phase. Hence they require artificial lift pumps to extract oil and meet the growing demands of the market.

Offshore drilling is a type of oil extraction in which wellbores are drilled through the seabed. It is typically carried out for the extraction of petroleum that lies in the rock formation beneath the seabed. Offshore drilling is categorized into two types, i.e., shallow water drilling and deep water drilling. The offshore drilling activity that takes place in a range of 0-650 feet comes under shallow water drilling, and drilling activity beyond 650 feet is categorized as deep water drilling. The total drilling depth depends on the location of the reservoirs and the type of drilling facilities used. Different types of drilling equipment used for offshore drilling are jack-up rigs, barges, platform rigs, submersible rigs, semi-submersible rigs, and drilling ships.

Energy harvesting devices are devices that convert ambient energy into electrical energy. Ambient energy is the energy available in the environment such as solar, wind, and chemical energy. During the energy harvesting process, a transducer is used to convert the ambient energy into electrical energy. The amount of electrical energy produced is small but it can be used for low-power applications. Some of the energy harvesting devices discussed in this report are wireless sensor nodes, wrist watches, and solar-plated mobile phones. Energy harvesting devices allow electronic products to work as contactless charging devices, which make the products highly efficient and reliable for end-users.
