On April 10, the State Council, or China's cabinet, decided to extend a pilot value-added tax (VAT) reform program to nationwide and more industries.The domestic output of dyestuffs and organic pigments in 2012 rose 6.4% YoY. Export amount was up 10.8% YoY. It is expected that 2013 production and export of dyestuffs and organic pigments will kept a low growth.The growth of China’s dyeing and printing shrinking demand, rising costs and more pressure from environmental protection.

China sets targets of carbon fiber sector by 2015. Production capacity of high-strength carbon fiber in a single production line can exceed 1 kt/a, and the production line will also have the ability to produce PAN precursor at an industrial scale. In the next few years, ethylene capacity construction will still be going strong in China. As the familiar naphtha-based units continue to contribute, MTO and heavy oil catalytic cracking technologies will also be employed. It is expected that China’s demand for adiponitrile will reach around 347 000 tons by 2016, driven by the expansion of domestic nylon 66 engineering plastic and fiber markets, and also considering the demand in HDI and other markets.
