Food emulsifier (apart from emulsification) exhibits multiple functions such as dispersion, infiltration, foaming, de-foaming, mold release, bacteriostatics, and mutual actions between starch and protein. Food emulsifiers are widely used across the globe as they help improve the texture, product consistency, enhance the flavor, and aid in blending the ingredients of food products. Emulsifiers are widely used in the bakery industry as they improve crust thickness and provide strength to the dough. Also, emulsifiers are used by major F&B manufacturers as food additives for reducing fat content in food.

《中国化工报》报道，财政部12月2日在官网发布通知，对进口天然气税收优惠政策进行了调整，一方面调高了液化天然气的销售定价标准，从而降低增值税返还比例；另一方面，又新增了多个可以享受税收优惠的进口天然气项目。下发文件中，将液化天然气销售定价调整为31.45元/GJ，管道天然气销售定价调整为1.11元/立方米。这一定价较此前的规定价格调高了26%，从而可以将倒挂比例降低，进而减少进口天然气项目的进口增值税返还数额。
