Until 2009 Russia experienced more than a decade of strong GDP growth, averaging about 7% per annum. The article presents the results of economic activity of industrial enterprises of Russia in 2017 and provides forecasts for 2018. In general for the major part of the surveyed enterprises (REB’s respondents) 2017 by many parameters turned out to be somewhat better than the previous year. Forecasts for 2018 are very optimistic: most enterprises hope for the continuation of the positive trend outlined in the last two years.

The investments made in Iran's Hormozgan province to improve the industry has increased by 312 percent during eight months of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), Shata news agency cited Khalil Qasimi, chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Hormozgan province, as saying. He said that 14 percent of all investments in Iran accounted for Hormozgan province in the first eight months of this Iranian year and this province ranks second in the country in terms of investments. Qasimi added that during eight months, licenses were issued for the implementation of 329 industrial projects. Meanwhile, 11,700 jobs will be created within these projects and three percent of the jobs in the country will account for Hormozgan province, he said.
