摘 要：Traditionally, the contracts between businesses were documented on paper and presented to the concerned parties for any revisions or amendments, following which the final version was prepared. Considering the high levels of negotiation involved in the writing of the final contract, companies involved their lawyers and legal departments in the process. The lawyers reviewed these contracts manually, which is a time-consuming process and prone to errors. With time, technology has evolved and companies have started managing their contracts via electronic media. The electronic format of contracts has not enhanced the visibility of contracts, resulting in poor management of contracts. However, with the adoption of CLM software, companies have enhanced their contract visibility, and are able to provide timely information to their legal teams, thus enhancing their decision-making processes.
