These FinTech firms do not rely on banks to deliver their products and services, and often compete directly with banks and other traditional financial institutions. 2. The second model covers banks and other traditional financial service providers that have adapted and developed FinTech solutions to improve the delivery of their financial services. Some of these banks are offering products comparable to those found at FinTech firms. Some banks are researching and developing financial technologies themselves, while others find it more convenient and cost effective to turn to their core processors, software providers, and other firms for such services.
