摘 要:Specialty chemicals are used for meeting specific purposes or for achieving a desired result when used in industrial applications. Most of the specialty chemicals that are used in small quantities in applications are priced at a premium, and companies offering them also offer technical and after-sales services to ensure proper use of the chemicals. Also, in contrast to commodity chemical manufacturers, specialty chemical manufacturers are much more flexible because of the continuously changing nature of raw materials, operating conditions, and enduser needs. The Global Specialty Chemicals market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.16 percent during the period 2013-2018. One of the major reasons for this is the rapidly expanding economies of developing countries. The increased production of consumer electronics, construction products, automobiles, and other consumer goods have resulted in the increased demand for specially formulated chemicals.
