摘 要:A cardiac biomarker is defined as a measurable substance that is used as an indicator for diagnosis and risk stratification related to CVDs such as ACS, coronary syndromes, MI, and HF. Some of the cardiac biomarkers are CK-MB, troponins (cTnI and cTnT), BNP, NT-proBNP, GFAP, HFABP, LDH isoenzymes, D-Dimer, IMA, MPO, myoglobin, and sCD40L. Cardiac biomarker assays help medical professionals in understanding and differentiating between MI and angina, which assists in the diagnosis and treatment of CVDs. The abnormal concentration of these biomarkers will act as a significant predictor of an adverse cardiovascular condition. Cardiac POC testing offers reliable measurement of cardiac biomarkers and provides results within an hour. Some cardiac POC tests not only save time, but have also been modified to improve the accuracy of the measurement of enzymes and minimize errors.
