摘 要：A microgrid is a smaller version of the traditional centralized electrical grid. It is a power grid that is localized and operated independently of the larger grid. Microgrids generate, distribute, and control the flow of energy to consumers; however, all these activities are implemented locally. Microgrids are effective during power failures in the central grid system as they can operate independently by isolating their generation loads. Moreover, in the case of excess power, developers and owners of microgrids can sell the excess power to utility providers. These features increase the demand for microgrids and drive the growth of the market. The Microgrid market in China is expected to witness rapid growth during the period 2011–2015. One of the reasons for this rapid growth is the increasing demand for power. In 2011, the market was led by Nextek Power Systems Inc. The Microgrid market in China is expected to grow at a CAGR of 87.5 percent during the forecast period.
