摘 要：A traction transformer is a major part of the electric traction system of trains which are powered by electricity. Traction transformers are used to bring down the voltage from the overhead electric line i.e. 15/25 kV to the desired voltage level i.e. 0.7/1.5 kV, for the traction converters in the electric train. Traction transformers are mainly used in high-speed trains, EMUs, electric locomotives, and trams.
