摘 要：Grid energy storage is a technique used in the large-scale storage of electricity in a power grid.Such electricity storage is required when the amount of electricity generated is greater than the demand. The surplus electricity saved in energy storage systems is supplied to customers when the demand is higher than the generation capacity. Grid storage is a mechanism of storing electricity during the off-peak period, and supplying the stored electricity during the on-peak period.The Grid Storage market in China is expected to experience rapid growth of 107.3 percent during the period 2011–2015. One of the reasons for this rapid growth is the increased focus on the reduction of power blackouts in the country. The major player in the market in 2011 was Build Your Dream Co. Ltd. (BYD).
