摘 要：ALD is an advanced thin film coating technique in which atoms are deposited one layer at a time in order to fabricate ultrathin, highly uniform, and conformal material layers. This technique uses a gas phase chemical reaction which gives manufacturers complete control over the growth of thin films, even in materials with sub-nanometer thickness. One of the major advantages of this method is that the chemicals used in the ALD process react only after reaching the surface of the material that is being coated. In addition, the optimal deployment of an ALD coating improves material functionalities such as surface hardness, and corrosion and wear resistance.
