摘 要：An APU is used to provide ground power, hydraulics, air conditioning, and air to start the engines when an aircraft is on the ground. Most APUs use centrifugal compressors. They work by spinning an impeller, which throws the air outward through a convergent duct with diffuser veins to direct the compressed gas on to the combustion chamber. APUs are also found in naval vessels, towed artilleries, and heavy trucks.
