摘 要:A bearing is a stationary machine element which supports a rotating shaft or an axle and thereby confines its motion. Thus, bearings are effectively deployed to negate the friction between moving parts. Though there are several types of bearings such as ball bearings, roller bearings and plain bearings, they are broadly classified on the basis of the load-carrying capacity (radial or thrust bearings) and the nature of the contact (sliding contact or rolling contact bearings).
