摘 要:Over the last six months, Asia-Pacific’s largest banks continued to face adverse risks that included a low interest rate environment and an overflow of liquidity from global monetary easing. ? Although the Asia-Pacific continued to see strong real GDP growth relative to other regions, activity indicators in early 2013 suggested that the rebound that began in the second half of 2012 had lost some traction. Central banks in the Asia-Pacific geared their monetary policies towards growth as inflationary pressures began to recede. Japan experimented with a mix of monetary and fiscal policies as well as government spending to spur growth and to lift the country out of deflation. The People’s Bank of China eased reserve requirements that domestic banks need to hold against deposits.
