摘 要:An electronic shelf label, or ESL, is a system used by retailers to display product price and information on the shelves. They are typically attached to the front edge of a retail shelf and use a liquid crystal display, or similar technology, to display the product information. The product price displayed on an ESL is automatically updated whenever a price is changed. This change can be made with the help of a communication network based on infrared, radio frequency, or visible light technology. ESLs can be highly advantageous to retailers as they offer the ability to make rapid pricing changes as often as they need or want, thereby helping them to reduce labor costs, and improve pricing accuracy.
