摘 要：Warehousing refers to a process of storing goods and materials in a large storage facility known as a warehouse. Warehouse operators offer different kinds of service to customers such as loading and unloading, inventory management tools, and other supply-chain-related services. In addition, they provide a wide range of value-added services such as assortment and grading, packaging and labeling, and shipping services. Warehousing services improve logistics effectiveness by introducing a new and innovative SCM system. The warehouse industry in the US is also introducing some major advances in technology such as RF barcode scanners, computerized vehicle routing, document automation, cloud technology for advanced 3PL, and real-time monitoring systems.
