摘 要:Geothermal energy is a renewable source of energy which uses the heat available underneath the earth's surface. It is used in direct heating (district and space heating, industrial and commercial uses) and for electricity generation. Geothermal energy has the potential to contribute significantly to any country's energy portfolio. However, this market is still growing in terms of technology, transmission planning, and grid operation. Currently, three different types of technologies (power plants) are being used for the production of heat and electricity.
