摘 要:UAVs, also referred to as drones, are aerial vehicles without a human pilot on board. The vehicle is controlled either autonomously by an onboard computer or by a remote control from the ground or on another vehicle. UAVs range in size. Large UAVs are used for tactical missions and are powered by internal combustion engines. Small electric powered UAVs are primarily used for military and defense applications and are driven by electric motors. Without combustion, these electric powered UAVs are quiet and more suitable for spy missions. Also, there has been increased interest in the usage of UAVs for commercial applications such as aerial photography, agriculture, 3D mapping, and wildlife protection.
