Advanced hydroponics systems are intensive and expensive. After the installation of hydroponic systems, its operations still require funds to function and the persistent use of high-powered lighting, fans, air conditioners, and pumps contribute to the electricity bills for indoor gardeners. Furthermore, there are several hidden expenses including rent, water, materials and nutrients, which are incurred everyday during the time of operations of hydroponic garden. In order to overcome high start up and maintenance costs, the system of 'simplified hydroponics' was launched in the United States, but it is not widely adopted across 2500  the globe, and yields generated from these systems are quite low.
