摘 要:A printer is a device that inputs text or graphics from computers and prints that on paper of varying sizes. Printers are of two main types: impact and non-impact. Impact printers produce a print image by pressing the print ribbon onto the paper using pins. Non-impact printers do not strike the paper to print an image, and are therefore quieter than impact printers. An example of an impact printer is dot-matrix, and inkjet and laser are examples of non-impact printers. Inkjet printers form an image by dropping tiny droplets of ink on the paper through small nozzles. Laser printers use cylindrical drums that roll electrically charged toner onto the paper.
