摘 要：An inventory tank gauging instrument is used to measure the level of liquid contained inside a tanker. Two methods are involved in tank gauging: volume-based tank gauging and massbased tank gauging. Inventory tank gauging instruments are of two types: point level instruments and continuous level instruments. A point level instrument provides the liquid level reading at a specific point; whereas a continuous level instrument provides a continuous reading of the liquid level inside the tank. In terms of technology, inventory tank gauging instruments are divided into two segments: Electronic Inventory Tank Gauging Instruments and Mechanical Inventory Tank Gauging Instruments.
