摘 要:Asia-Pacific banks managed to cope with challenging operating conditions, supported by a strong capital base and robust funding, which protected them from aftershocks from the eurozone. Asia-Pacific investment banking revenue totaled US$11.7 billion for 2013, down for the fourth consecutive year and the lowest total since 2008. Central banks in the region have geared their monetary policies towards growth as inflationary pressures began to recede.Investor sentiment remained buoyed by monetary easing polices maintained by Asia-Pacific central banks, in particular Japan, where the government is attempting to shock the country out of 15 years of deflation. Asia-Pacific bank M&A transactions totaled US$13.86b in 2013, declining 9.2% from US$15.27billion in 2012.
