摘 要：Transportation safety and security systems are highly advanced systems, which have gained popularity recently. Adequate safety and security measures remain a prerequisite for any transport system. These systems are an integral part of aviation, cargo supply chain, maritime, and other popular passenger transport systems such as roadways and railroads. Law enforcement, border security, and intelligence agencies work with each other in a multijurisdictional platform on the basis of inputs provided by these systems. With the increasing traffic and goods in transit, and integration between different modes, it has become imperative for concerned agencies to ramp up security measures in sensitive infrastructures. Terrorists are developing innovative weapons of mass destruction such as CBRN to damage the Transportation industry. This leads to the induction of major technological companies in this domain because providing best solutions has become a priority. Systems that are already integrated and are popular include access control systems, video surveillance systems, secure communication systems, scanning and screening systems, and navigation and traffic control systems.
