Organic personal care products are made with organic ingredients in a proportion of 95% or more and are usually labeled organic or bear the organic logo. While the terms "natural" and "organic" are commonly used interchangeably, there is significant difference between the two. Synthetic chemicals are used for the extraction of natural ingredients to prepare natural personal care products, whereas organic personal care products are produced without the use of synthetic chemicals. Consumers are increasingly preferring organic products over those labeled "natural."
