Motorcycle is one of the preferred personal means of transport in the country and has been one of the pillars of the economy. During 2012-2016, the scooter sales in the country decreased, due to changing policy regarding vehicles and certain cities restricting the entry of motorcycles. Currently, the market studied is shifting toward quality and product differentiation. One of the principal reasons is that some laws and regulations have been implemented to limit the traffic of motorcycles in large cities, in order to avoid accidents with the speed of those types of vehicles. Additionally, with the changing lifestyle and improved living standards, Chinese people are more attracted to e-bikes and mini-cars.
