摘 要：DNA sequencing helps determine the precise order of nucleotides, particularly of the four bases within a DNA molecule — adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine. DNA sequencing was initiated in the 1970s using the Maxam-Gilbert method and performed in 1975 using the Sanger method. Medical and research laboratories perform most of the DNA sequencing using sequencers that employ variants of the Sanger method.
